Anniversary Creator Highlight – Simulation Daily

Born from over 25 years of experience in gaming journalism, we’re focusing on Simulation Daily and Editor-in-Chief Giuseppe Nelva for our Anniversary Creator Highlight. Whilst Simulation Daily is a fairly new website in the landscape of flight sim journalism, having only published its first article in July 2024, the website aims to cover all aspects of gaming, whilst at the same time giving simulation titles daily coverage they deserve and don’t often get.

Giuseppe, who has worked as a gaming journalist on a number of websites and even magazines, covers many of the dedicated simulator titles, and is joined by colleagues Brittany and Andrew who are experts in their own subject matter areas.

Having recently sat down with Giuseppe to learn a little more about his background, and how Simulation Daily was formed he said: “Microsoft Flight Simulator itself was a big inspiration for the website. Before Simulation Daily, I worked on other websites primarily as a News Editor. I’ve been passionate about simulators since Flight Simulation by Psion on the ZX Spectrum. When MSFS 2020 launched, it allowed me to write daily articles aggregating all the flight simulation news I could find, from big and small developers. Then I continued to write them every day for 5 years through two jobs at different websites, until we opened Simulation Daily to expand on the concept much further.”

Simulation Daily operates on a belief that gamers can benefit from being exposed to more simulation content, and likewise simmers can benefit from having a place where they can find both regular simulation news and other genres of games they may enjoy also. Giuseppe states “after all, almost every game is a simulation of something”.

On top of many written articles for their website, Simulation Daily are now working on expanding and growing their YouTube channel. With weekly flight simulation news videos being uploaded, MSFS fans can now keep track of what happens in the industry even if they do not have the time to read the news every day. Giuseppe explains that they plan to expand their content to a wider range including flight simulation-focused interviews, add-on spotlights, full flights, and much more!

When asked about inspiration for creating Simulation Daily Giuseppe remarked: “We’re very passionate about evangelizing the beauty of flight simulation among younger generations and gamers who may not have experienced it just yet, so we’re grateful because Microsoft Flight Simulator first and now Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 are the perfect tools to help us fulfill that mission.
