The Innovative M600 sets new standards in performance, reliability, and cockpit experience.
Distinction and Utility
The M600 is a 6-seat, single-engine, multi-use light civil airplane developed and manufactured by Piper Aircraft of the United States. Introduced in 2015, the M600 is an advanced member of the Piper M-Class. Boasting a pressurized cabin, state-of-the-art avionics, and luxurious passenger accommodations, the versatile M600 is a coveted choice for a variety of private and business applications. Pilots hail the sleek, low-wing monoplane for its great range, speed, advanced cockpit, and reliable and efficient operation.
Highly Refined Vision
Piper developed the M600 on the shoulders of several successful offerings in the company’s M-Class. The family of aircraft began in the late 1970s, with the PA-46 Malibu taking its maiden flight on November 30, 1979. Piper introduced the piston-powered, pressurized Malibu in 1983, and it was followed by several other successful iterations in the line, including the turboprop-powered Malibu Meridian, introduced in 2000. In 2015, Piper debuted the M500, an advanced, modern version of the Meridian. That same year, the company introduced the M600, an upgrade to the M500, with more powerful engines, more advanced avionics and flight controls, and an improved wing.
A Fusion of Elegance, Power, and Cutting-Edge Technology
Certified on June 18, 2016, the M600 is a fusion of Piper’s time-tested designs and the latest in aviation technology. A phenomenal performer from take-off to landing, pilots know the M600 as forgiving throughout a full range of environmental conditions and flight profiles. Powered by a 600-horsepower Pratt & Whitney PT6A-42A turboprop engine that turns a 5-blade, composite, constant-speed propeller, the M600 boasts exceptional range and speed while offering the pilot unmatched control.
One of the key attributes of the M600 is its enhanced Garmin G3000 avionics suite that optimizes pilot situational awareness and operational efficiency. The M600 cockpit boasts two large Garmin high-resolution touchscreen controllers to manage audio, transponder, and flight planning processes; two Garmin G3000 multifunction / primary flight displays; one Multi-Function Display (MFD); and a single standby altitude indicator.
Considered one of the most advanced avionics packages available in any general aviation aircraft, the customized G3000 package includes Piper’s HALO Safety System. The HALO comprises the Garmin Autoland, which will land the M600 at the nearest airport in the event of pilot incapacitation. It also includes Automatic Level Mode, which maintains a wings-level attitude with consistent vertical speed. It has Electronic Stability & Protection (ESP) that mitigates the onset of stalls, spins, and other loss-of-control hazards. Additionally, it includes: Hypoxia Recognition System with Automatic Descent Mode, which monitors pilot action for hypoxia; Synthetic Vision for optimized situational awareness; SafeTaxi, which uses geo-referenced airport maps for ground operations; SurfaceWatch, which directs the pilot to the correct runway for take-off, approach, and landing; and Auto Throttle.
Measuring 29 feet, 8 inches in length, the M600 features a standard empennage and a retractable tricycle undercarriage. It stands 11 feet, 4 inches and has a wingspan of 43 feet, 2 inches. It has a maximum range of 1,908 miles, a service ceiling of 30,000 feet above sea level, a maximum climb rate of 1,556 feet per minute, and a cruising speed of 315 miles per hour.
