The world’s fastest motorsport, the National Championship Air Races, is coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Combining the classic Reno Air Races and the new Roswell Air Races, the famous multi-lap event will be more realistic than ever with the addition of a wear-and-tear system.
The Microsoft Flight Simulator team worked closely with the Reno Air Racing Association (RARA) and dozens of pilots and owners to develop highly authentic recreations of many of the world’s most famous racing aircraft.
Five different race classes will be included: the Unlimited Class (featuring the P-51 Mustang), the T-6 Class (featuring the North American T-6 Texan), the Biplane Class (featuring the Aviat Pitts Special S1S), the Jet Class (featuring the Aero Vodochody L-39) and – for the very first time – the STOL Class featuring an exciting new 1 vs. 1 drag-race experience.
We can’t wait for you and your friends to experience this thrilling air racing experience starting on October 13, 2026. The sky is calling!
Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 is available for Xbox Series X|S, Game Pass, PC, PlayStation 5, PS VR2, Steam, and supported mobile phones, tablets, and lower-spec PCs via Xbox Cloud Gaming.
