New test builds for those players enrolled in the Sim Update 4 and PlayStation 5 betas for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 were released last week. You can see the release notes at the following links. Please note that the PS5 link is only accessible to those who are enrolled in the PS5 beta.

In Marketplace news, headlining this week’s releases is the Jurassic World: Archipelago from developer Orbx! Created in collaboration with Universal Products & Experiences and available now on the MSFS 2024 in-sim Marketplace for both PC and Xbox, the Jurassic World Archipelago will allow flight simmers to explore the fictional Costa Rican islands of Isla Nublar, Isla Sorna, and the entire Muertes Archipelago, locations seen in the Jurassic World film franchise! The Jurassic World: Archipelago add-on also includes nine different dinosaur species to encounter, including the Tyrannosaurus Rex and Velociraptor! To celebrate the release on the Marketplace, you can enjoy a temporary 20% sale discount! Check out the trailer below.

We are also excited to announce a new initiative in which members of the flight sim community (like you!) can organize local meet-ups with other aviation enthusiasts. Tae a look at the Bravo Alpha Romeo (B.A.R.) webpage here to learn more about how you can host or attend a flight sim community meet-up in your area! The first event is coming up this weekend in Dublin, Ireland organized by popular MSFS content creator twotonemurphy. You can find the details for the Dublin B.A.R. event in this YouTube video!

Finally, there was a technical incident that prevented many simmers from launching MSFS (2020) and MSFS 2024 over the past day. We believe this issue has now been successfully resolved, but if you are still having problems launching the sim (for example, getting stuck at 0% on the loading screen), please let us know by posting in this forum thread. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank everyone for your patience and understanding while our support teams worked to restore normal service.

This week we’re off to explore the Greek coast of the Aegean Sea for a beautiful flight that will take us from Thessaloniki to the stunning Greek Islands of Mykonos and Santorini! En route, we’ll have a touch & go landing at the capital city of Athens, the historic birthplace of democracy, home of many famous Greek scholars and philosophers such as Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle, and host city of the first modern Olympic Games in 1896.
