We would like to give a sincere thank you to everyone who have participated in the Sim Update 10 beta over the last several weeks. Your feedback and reports have been very valuable in getting the update ready for its final version. Speaking of, we will have more information to share very soon about the release date for Sim Update 10. 

We are also excited to say that we have a booth at the Reno Air Races this year. If you are attending, stop by and say hi to our team members!

Marketplace Update

To align with SU10 dependencies, we are pushing this week’s Marketplace release to next week. There will be no Marketplace release this Thursday, September 15. Content being processed for release this week is now planned to be included in the next Marketplace release on Thursday, September 22.

 

SDK Update

  • Roadmap:
    • Sim Update 11
      • We are focusing our efforts on the Project Editor, improving its stability & ergonomics.
  • General:
    • We added a link to DevSupport in the Devmode toolbar (which was about time!).
    • WASM
      • We fixed an issue when deleting a texture with an invalid index.
    • Scenery Editor
      • We fixed the developer camera’s focus on objects.
    • Aircraft Editor
      • We added missing parameters in the Fuel/Tank systems.
    • VFX Editor
      • We fixed the fact that Alt+click on links would not properly destroy them.
      • We fixed the units dropdown on SimVar node (only visual issue).

 

Third Party Update

  • As of 09/10, we have now approved 267 (+0) third parties into the in-sim marketplace and – so far 164 (+2) have released 1,441 products on PC (+21) and 1,146 on Xbox (+20).
  • In total, 2,428 products (+18) have already been released in 3rd party stores and the in-sim marketplace. Beyond that, another 591 products (-8) from 3rd party developers are in production (313 announced, 278 unannounced). In total, over 3,019 3rd party products (+10) have either been released or are in development.
  • Airports:
    • 1,638 airports (+9) are either released or are in various stages of development.
      • 1,424 airports (+10) have been released on the platform so far in various stores.
      • 900 airports (+6) have been released in the in-sim marketplace.
      • 118 airports (+2) beyond the released airports have been announced.
      • 96 airports (-3) are not announced, but the dev let us know that an airport is in production.
  • Aircraft:
    • 444 aircraft (-1) are either released or are in various stages of development.
      • 161 aircraft (+1) have been released on the platform so far in various stores.
      • 113 aircraft (+2) have been released in the in-sim PC marketplace.
      • 86 aircraft (+2) have been released in the in-sim Xbox marketplace.
      • 175 aircraft (+0) beyond the released aircraft have been announced.
      • 108 aircraft (-2) are not announced, but the dev let us know that an aircraft is in production.
  • Scenery:
    • 839 scenery packs (+2) are either released or are in various stages of development.
      • 745 scenery packs (+7) have been released on the platform so far in various stores.
      • 215 scenery packs (+8) have been released in the in-sim marketplace.
      • 20 scenery packs (+0) beyond the released scenery have been announced.
      • 74 scenery packs (-5) are not announced, but the dev let us know that scenery is in production.
  • Mission Packs:
    • 98 mission packs (+0) are either released or are in various stages of development.
      • 98 mission packs (+0) have been released on the platform so far in various stores.
      • 35 mission packs (+1) have been released in the in-sim marketplace.
      • 0 mission packs (+0) beyond the released missions have been announced.
      • 0 mission packs (-0) are not announced, but the dev let us know that they are in production.

There is no stream this Friday on twitch.tv/MSFSOfficial.
