Microsoft Flight Simulator – VR Closed Beta Terms (“Terms”)

Thank you for choosing to participate in the Microsoft Flight Simulator video game (“Game”) VR Closed Beta (“Program”)! To register in the Program, visit VR Closed Beta Information (“Website”) and follow the instructions (if any further are given) for registration. The Program is offered solely at Microsoft’s discretion, and open worldwide to individual persons who are 18 years and older at the time of enrollment and have a Microsoft account (“MSA”). Void where prohibited by law. These Terms are a binding agreement between you (“You”) and Microsoft Corporation (“Microsoft,” “we,” or “us”). These Terms are subject to the Microsoft Services Agreement, Microsoft Privacy Statement, Community Standards for Xbox, and Xbox Insider Terms, all of which are incorporated by this reference, and apply during your participation in this Program. By registering for the Program, You agree that You’re eligible, that You meet the requirements provided by Microsoft, and that You have read and agree to these Terms. As part of the Program, You may be invited to access, download, test, and use the Game, including new unreleased versions and/or features, and associated promotional and communication materials (collectively “Materials”), and to participate in scheduled playtesting opportunities known as “Flights.” You may also be invited to provide comments, data, telemetry, bugs, notes, and other feedback (collectively “Feedback”) to Microsoft, including via web surveys, forums, and other electronic means. Access to the Program, Materials, playtest sessions and phases, and the associated services, will occur at Microsoft’s discretion. Program requirements, playtest times, and details will be published on the Website, and may be updated at any time. You will need to login with your Xbox Live account, and will utilize Your Gamertag as Your alias on the Website and related forums. No compensation of any kind will be paid with respect to Your participation in the Program, Feedback, or Microsoft’s use of Feedback. Microsoft may terminate the Program, or Your participation in the Program, at any time without notice.

The Materials, Flights and related testing phases will include experimental and early pre-release software. You may experience occasional crashes and data loss. Some features and/or online services may not work correctly. All Materials are provided “as is” and with all faults. No warranty of any kind is provided except where required by law. We also cannot provide customer service or support in the traditional sense. However, Your Feedback as You play and enjoy the Game will help us improve and enhance the final product.

You acknowledge that all non-public information related to this Program (including without limitation any unreleased version of the Game, any unannounced features, and any non-public Materials), is confidential information (“Confidential Information”), and that You will keep Confidential Information confidential until such time as Microsoft releases it to the public. If You have a non-disclosure agreement (“NDA”) with Microsoft, then the terms of that NDA and the additional requirements below govern Your obligations with respect to Confidential Information. If not, then the confidentiality terms below apply. Please keep in mind that features You see in this Program may change or be removed in the final version and those features should always remain confidential.

  • Do not take photos, videos, or audio recordings of the Game.
  • Do not post photos, videos, or audio recordings of the Game, or livestream the Game, on any venue.
  • Do not describe any part of the Game on any venue unless we’ve instructed You to do so.
  • Do not allow others to watch You play the Game.
  • Do not leave the Game running unattended.
